CIP work at Woodlands Waterfront park

Last Wednesday, my school held an Environment Cleaning Community Involvement Programme. It was held at Woodlands Waterfront park. My class and I took an approximately half an hour walk from our school to the park. Upon reaching the park, we formed into groups of ten and each group was given a big black plastic bag to contain the litter that we picked up. My group and I went to different areas in the park and picked up lots and lots of litter!!! As I picked up all the litters, I was furious by these inconsiderate actions by the visitors of the park!!! My group and I had lots of fun interacting with each other while picking up the litters left behind by inconsiderate people. After about half an hour of picking up litter, we assembled at a playground in the park. At the playground, we were given permission to play for awhile before setting off, back to school. By the time we reached school, it was already 5.40 pm. Upon dismissal from the school, I rushed off immediately for my tuition lesson. When my tuition class ended at 6.30 pm, I trudged back wearily home. I was exhausted. To end it all, I felt happy about helping to clean up the park though it was very tiring. From this event, I have learnt that we should not litter as it would harm and pollute the earth and environment. We should dispose our rubbish appropriately by throwing them into the rubbish bins. We should also make an effort to REDUCE, RECYCLE AND REUSE!!! :)
