Exam Results

I got back my end of year examination results today!!!!
Though I must say that I am not very happy with some of my results, especially my English results. I did not achieve the goals that I had wanted.  Well, anyway, no point crying over spilt milk now, I will work harder next year and achieve better results. For my mathematics examination, I was quite happy with my results as I had achieved my goals not just by one or two marks but actually by a lot. However, I am not going to be complacent. Instead, I am going to work harder, achieving better results for each and every subject as the years pass.

Its still examination period.....

Its still examination period ! I was getting tired of reading and reading and was granted a 30mins break to surf the web when I chanced upon these quotes which I would like to share:

Dr. A. Lawrence LowellOf course there's a lot of knowledge in universities: the freshmen bring a little in; the seniors don't take much away, so knowledge sort of accumulates.......

( SO....... graduates graduate with ??????????? )

Third Law of Applied Terror
80% of the final exam will be based on the one lecture you missed and the one book you didn't read.

( ScArY but it's sort of true............ hope it won't happen to YOU or me. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!! )

On Monday next week, it will be our last paper : Mathematics Paper 2. So, yeah got to go revise now. Sorry for the veryyyyyyyy short post. Bye!

A rainy day

I have always liked rainy days as the weather would be very cooling and nice enough for me to fall asleep. However, yesterday was an exception. Early in the morning, there was a huge downpour. I waited for about fifteen minutes before a bus came!!! As a result, I was almost late for school. Why can't the bus stick on the ususal schedule just because it rains??? Why must there be traffic jam whenever it rains??? The Healthy Lifestyle period was cancelled and everyone stayed in their classes. My form teacher let us watch a movie to pass time. The movie was '' Mr Bean's Holiday''. It was a very hilarious show and everyone laughed their hearts out. Sadly, the show had to be stopped as it was the next period- Maths lesson. : (  After that, the rest of the day passed by as usual. Soon, it was dismissal. I stayed back awhile to do my literature project work before heading home.

CIP work at Woodlands Waterfront park

Last Wednesday, my school held an Environment Cleaning Community Involvement Programme. It was held at Woodlands Waterfront park. My class and I took an approximately half an hour walk from our school to the park. Upon reaching the park, we formed into groups of ten and each group was given a big black plastic bag to contain the litter that we picked up. My group and I went to different areas in the park and picked up lots and lots of litter!!! As I picked up all the litters, I was furious by these inconsiderate actions by the visitors of the park!!! My group and I had lots of fun interacting with each other while picking up the litters left behind by inconsiderate people. After about half an hour of picking up litter, we assembled at a playground in the park. At the playground, we were given permission to play for awhile before setting off, back to school. By the time we reached school, it was already 5.40 pm. Upon dismissal from the school, I rushed off immediately for my tuition lesson. When my tuition class ended at 6.30 pm, I trudged back wearily home. I was exhausted. To end it all, I felt happy about helping to clean up the park though it was very tiring. From this event, I have learnt that we should not litter as it would harm and pollute the earth and environment. We should dispose our rubbish appropriately by throwing them into the rubbish bins. We should also make an effort to REDUCE, RECYCLE AND REUSE!!! :)

Kusu Island

Early this year, our class went to kusu island for our first learning journey in secondary school. When Kusu island was finalised as our destination, few of my classmates groaned and protested as they had already gone to the island several times and was quite familiar with the place thus felt that it was very boring. On the day of the trip itself, we took a very long but fun bus ride. Everybody was chatting happily away with their friends. Tidbits were passed around and games were played. Soon, we reached the place where we took a ferry to Kusu Island. During the trip, I sat with my friends HL, RT, JJ, KW and Wasabi. The uneven , rolling small waves shook and rocked the ferry from time to time. Soon all of us felt sea sick. However, we ate some chips and sweets and after awhile, all of us felt better. Upon arriving at the island, we read about the history of the island. We went to a few temples and came across a wishing well. Along the way, we also saw tortoises. They were so cute!!! At the wishing well, my friends and I threw coins at the three ''bowls'' in the lotus flower shaped wishing well, hoping that the coins would get in so we could make a wish. However, our tries were futile as none of us got our coins in the ''bowls''. At the end of the trip, we did a short reflection before taking another ferry and bus ride back to school before heading home. Overall, majority said that the place was very boring. However, to me, the trip to Kusu Island was quite interesting as I had gained information on the place! : )
